Does Anyone Have Intense Deja Vu On Long Car Rides?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I was told that I don't have photosensitive epilepsy. What else could trigger deja vu while riding in a car?

I also have trouble with car rides. It's hard to explain. But if the sun is out and I close my eyes the shadows of the trees almost like a strobe light make me start feeling an onset . Also some lights inside of big stores or offices as well. I hate not being able to control it. I was just diagnosed at age r0 this past year. I had been feeling like I was having some in my sleep sometimes. Waking up drained and achy. And confused. But I fell out several years back behind the counter at work. E. R. just gave me a shot and sent me home. In 2020 2 days before Christmas I dropped in front of a store. At 40 I'm just finding this out.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member anytime i look at something thats β€œtrippy” it triggers me a little bit. I think thats why car rides are a trigger for me but you know we are all different

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member It could simply be the movement or, depending upon the individual, it might also be looking out the window and seeing things "fly by" (especially if you are seeing them out of the corner of your eye and thus cannot be for sure if what you saw was really what you think it might have been.

Car rides always do it to me for some reason. Maybe the movement??

Partial seizure in the temporal lobe causes deja vu.
