Ambulatory EEG
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I had an overnight EEG 4 days ago now and ever since I've been dizzier and had more light sensitivity. I haven't had any issues in regards to epilepsy, migraines in over a yr so I think it's from this. Has anyone else experienced this? I also got extremely fatigued from the smell of the glue.

I had to do an overnight EEG for the weekend and I did not have any of these side effects. Sorry to hear about what you’re experiencing. πŸ˜•

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member thanks you... the glue smell was the worst, the accetone wasn't too bad as it smells like nail polish remover and I just oiled it and washed it 5 times at once so the smell went πŸ˜‚

glue gunk is a common thing for a eeg. you will smell like (for me) burn rubber for days into weeks. shampooing for a thousand time (more like 5 times) lessen the smell but you can always smell it. and yes sometimes that smell is overpowering. i have headaches sometimes from the gunk.
