I really need advice
I can drink coffee and I do occasionally go out and have a few drinks but I never drink energy drinks. My only and biggest trigger for me and my sezuires is stress
I don't like the taste of coffee, thus I was not drinking it even before my neurologist advises me to stay away from caffeine because it hampers sleep. However, I do not drink decaf iced tea, and caffeine is not a trigger for me. I have been drinking iced tea for at least 40 years. And my neurologist had told me that if I drank alcohol to limit it to one glass per day (never developed a taste for that either and have had alcoholics in family, so no interest in it). Randy is correct about simply keeping track of your seizures. This can help you to determine what your triggers are. The only trigger that I know is a constant for everyone with Epilepsy and Seizure Disorders is too much stress (of course, what is too much for one is insignificant for others). Thus, pay attention to everything before your seizures and determine your triggers.
Caffeine can trigger seizures. If you do try caffeinated coffee ☕️, keep track of your seizures. Maybe buy a small container of coffee. If they act up, you may want to buy decaffeinated coffee.
I been drinking Pepsi going on about 40 yrs never had a problem with caffine and this day have one or two 12 ox cans in morning as dont drink coffee as yuk and that has never affect me now 25 yrs sz free and still this day pepsi sweet to. But never drink energy drinks or things wirh ginseng
If you think caffeine is a trigger , introduce a cup of decaffeinated coffee Maybe 1 a day ,also lay off anything else wth caffeine .I'm more into bottled water but caffeine isn't a trigger for me
