What Type Of Seizure Am I Having?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I believe that I have two types of epilepsy. One is definitely Myoclonic but I am having a lot of trouble trying to determine exactly what my second type is called.

Have you ever thought about asking your neurologist about having a 5 to 7 day VEEG? You can find out after exam is done.

Thanks. What you said makes sense. I've usually been on my laptop for hours then watch TV episodes that I've downloaded. So I'll look up photosensitive seizures and see if they are the likely diagnosis.

It sounds like you have a mild form of photosensitive seizures. With computers, IPads and IPhones ,all have blue screens. Those blue screens can trigger seizures. Then there are the video game consoles ( X-Box, Sony PlayStation and ect ). They too can trigger seizures, from the Strobe light effect in the game. The faster the game action, the faster the the flashing of the colors and lights in the game.

Ask your doctor the next time you visit him/her or else you could ask for their phone number if you have any questions. And I've never heard of this kind of seizures. But well maybe better responses later.
