I had surgery last week, and even after the anesthetics have worn out of my system supposedly there's times where I would sometimes get an aura and potentially absent seizures. There would be other times where I would get foggy and some people have told me I looked drunk or out of it even after the anesthetics were out of the system. I have tried avoiding heavy pain killers cause I didn't want any side effects. And I was wondering if the anesthetics had affected the anti seizure medication… read more

Had a general anaesthetic as a day patient 13 years ago - no problems. 18 months ago I was scared I may have episodes when I had a hip replacement This wasn't done with GA but under a signal block I think ,knowing my epilepsy history the anaesthetist pumped me full of anaesthetic/ sedation & morphine I can't remember anything It left me wondering how you recover if you had tonic/ clonics mind

No it has never affected me but things could change now that I am older
