So You Can Have Seizures From "Caring Too Much?"
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Was told by my threapist that she thinks I have seizures cause I care too much. I was a bit offended by that :(

Bethy is right, stress does play a large roll in causing seizures. At least it can with me. Try to use the motto: LESS STRESS = LESS MESS!

I think she worded it wrong. I can see what she means I think but she worded it very badly haha. Are your seizures caused by stress? I think she was saying you are stressing because you are a caring person and that it’s the stress causing you to have seizures not the caring itself. Hope this makes sense

i think that therapist needs to be evaluated. i never heard of that one. some therapist think they are drs and know everything. anyway seizures are cause in the brain not by 'caring too much' or 'not enough'.

Never heard of caring too much, possibly taking on too much stress.
