Seizures In Dreams
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone dreamt they were having a seizure although not actually having one. I had a dream last night I was having a seizure because I was ill in the dream and woke up in a panic. Maybe I was getting too hot while sleeping.

I have had those kinds of dreams, they are really scary. I found that I have those dreams when I think too much into seizures. I have lived in fear my whole life because of having seizures and I have let them destroy my life. Chatting with others on this team helps me realize that others are or have experienced the same situations I have. TODAY IS NATIONAL SMILE POWER DAY. REMEMBER, A SMILE A DAY CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN SOMEONE'S ELSES DAY. GOD BLESS!

Well I'm still fairly new to this. So I can't really say cause most of mine, happens in my sleep anyway. So I don't know if I'm dreaming or really having one most of the time, anyway! My memories before hand and during and a little afterwards is shot... I can hardly remember where I'm at, what happened, or who anybody is that's around me at the time of my episodes....

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member Hi, you are not alone in this feeling. I feel that way with my wife and I think most men and probably women think the same way. Thing is to be open and honest with your wife and she will understand. There will be times when your wife feels weak and down - that's when you help her!

When I passed out. I had no warning, no aura, nothing I just fell fast and hard. All I could do was apologize to my wife cause I was supposed to be helping her and I feel like I'm not even man enough to stand long enough to assist her. Then in the back of my mind... I was like she deserves better and should be with someone that could protect her.. were she never has to worry about anything ever happening to her as well as not having to look after a man that should be capable of looking after her and making sure she had enough money to do whatever whenever... Without worrying about any financial responsibility.. but I can't even provide for my wife and that hurts. I sometimes feel like she is better without me I
