Does anyone else have this happen? It can take hours to come back. Can I deny an medical care from paramedics even if I can’t speak? I don’t wanna spend over $8000 for no reason

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member if i have another thing but you need a smartphone (with apps) and a special watch. it is called a embrace seizure watch. is $200.00 (USA). i do not have one, i have a fitbit. it is a fitbit health watch with a heart rate. if you go too high, it will beep and notify your contact that you want to notify. it probably does more but i cant buy it, too much money.

That Is Just What I Would Do Because So Many People Automatically Judge A Situation Before They REALLY Even Know What's Going On And You Can't Rely On Other People To Know What Your Medical Needs Are Which Is Why I Started Wearing My Medical Alert Epileptic Tags Again ONLY YOU Know Your Medical Needs And If You Can't Speak Or If You Are Unconscious You May Get The WRONG Treatment Which Could Make Your Situation Worse Be Proactive

Keep A Fanny Pack With You With Index Cards That Say EXACTLY What YOU Want Them To Say So You Can Hand Them To Potential First Responders So They Will Know What Is Going On And If You Really Need Medical Treatment Or Not

If your seizures hit the speech center of the brain then it will take awhile before you can talk again.

You should carry along a pocket size notebook and pen so you can write down what you need to say. Hopefully that part of your brain doesn’t get interrupted by your seizures too.

My speech is always the last to come back and the fear of never speaking again is definitely there
