OCD
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

So far I know 4 with Epilepsy and OCD. Is it that common to have both? There seems to be many mental health issues that go hand in hand with Epilepsy. Does anyone here know why?

Not quite sure? My neurologist says it is pretty common and before I go see him I have to (as well as other patients) fill out this form which contains a surprisingly large amount of questions about our mental health. I'd say they're *definitely* related but don't have a solid answer as to why. Sorry if that wasn't helpful

my stepdad served in the military and has OCD. i adapt his OCD. its the little things like i rearrange food and re-rearrange foods. and when i set up the dinner plates, i get the silverware on one side and in order, glasses in another side, and plates in the center. and i sit in one spot on the table or the couch. i didnt do that when dad was around.
