Seizures And Other People
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone have seizures and just want to be quiet for a few days afterwards. The reason I ask is I have had a bad seizure at the weekend and my in-laws have been down today yet my father-in-law wants to be all jokey and they wonder why I am quiet.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I’m the same way I just want to be where it’s very quite and left alone it’s the best way to be mainly because your wore out from them they take so much energy out of us and other people just don’t get it so if you feel that you need to just go ghost for a while you do that.

It takes me a good 2 weeks, sometimes more, to get over a severe tonic clonic seizure. The body is totally out of focus, the muscles are sore and I always have migraine! Resting is what the body needs, no matter how long for... I understand your points well.

Glad ya bit better from your seizures. After having a seizure all have a hard time trying to get back in sink. Y’all have ran a marathon race and it takes a while to regroup and get back into what ya need to do. Quite time helps ya recompile life. So very challenging and ya it’s embarrassing but take time for ya to share your self with others. Gotta take care of yourself first. God bless ya Sue Anne

Sometimes after I’ve seized for a while there is certain people I don’t want to be around. Mostly people who have bullied in the past or who are jerks. If I am around them after I’ve seized and they start making fun of me it takes everything I’ve got not to punch them in the face.
