Not a day or two but while outside in the summer heat and have not had enough to drink prior to jogging, and I kept my jogging to early a.m. and late p.m. STAY HYDRADTED !!! I'm sure this has helped many in the past
I run a lot but I love it so even if I go till I am exhausted, I don't have seizures. If one day I have a seizure while running and I get killed well at least I died doing what I love. It seems I have more seizures during the monotony of "regular" life. Attempting to converse with "Normal People". Running makes me healthy. Regular Life and Normal People make me sick.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member That is the main intention for recreation; stretching . YOU DON'T NEED TO BUILD YOUR MUSCLES, or put them under any strain. You decide how much you can do, and what you can do. But don't allow yourself to completely stop with movement & recreation. Even walking does a lot. Keep your joints in motion
Yes I did. It worried me so much, too. I needed to lose a lot of weight, and if i couldn't exercise without have a seizure I would be stuck with it or deal with them. My brother runs a gym, and went to college for a Bachelors in physical therapy with other degrees along with it. So I called him, and asked if he had any recommendations for exercises. He gave me a list to show my specialist, and after my next appointment I had exercises I could do with less risk of seizure. Then it was all in me keeping track of how long too long was for exercise, and also making sure I still exercised enough to make myself healthy again. It is taking me longer than I wanted, but the pounds are disappearing.
I think its because your over exhaurting yourself, and we get tired after 2 much excersize.
I dont do more than i can handle and remember to drink enough water so we dont get dehydrated.. plus eat a good amount of protien
