I graduated from nursing school before I was diagnosed last August so I have a few tips that can hopefully help. If your teachers are fine with it you can record your lectures so you can go back & listen to them as much as you need. Writing notes during the lectures was always really helpful for me & rewriting those notes & reading them outloud would help because that way you have learned the info 3 different ways which is crucial for the info to become ingrained in your mind. Also, depending on what classes you take you can always go to tutors for extra help & just going to your instructors & talking to them & seeking their help is really nice because you are paying them & they are essentially working for you & most of the time they want you to succeed. Good luck and I hope you enjoy yourself!

Went back to school at 38 too and had no problems...just made sure to let the professors know if I needed an extension on an assignment and the reason why. All were really understanding...I’m definitely not a techie, but if I could do it...then I am sure you can too! I also wasn’t afraid to ask the younger ones for help if I was stuck on a computer problem, they were more than willing to help me. Good luck🙂

Ask your admissions office about support services. They may not know much other than where the office is, but they should be able to tell you that. Then talk to the folks with support services. They should be able to outline with you what kinds of services are available on campus to support your education and how to access those services.
