My daughter (27) had one implanted June 2016. It has definitely toned down GTC sz, but she continues to have complex & simple partial, auras, loss of eyesight/hearing several times a week. Big plus for her, she was able to reduce her Oxcarbazepine from 3600mg to 2400mg (her liver was impacted so this was a blessing) She definitely recommends it as a helpful device.

I have a friend with one. It doesn't totally eliminate his seizures, but it reduced the number of them greatly.
