Dreams

Dreams

I had a dream the other day that I had a grand mal seizure. I know in real life I would be out of it and wouldn't know what was going on. But in the dream I was aware I was seizing, being sick and having injections. 99% of the time I remember my dreams. Was wondering if anyone else has experienced dreams like this? Does anyone know what it means?

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member. Jennifer was a housemate, a very cool person, but we lost touch when we both moved to different places. I checked in with my neurologist about last night's seizure dream and the accompanying twitches. We agreed that it may just be my body still readjusting. No plans to move my meds back up. The side effects were just too much. My short term memory was shot and it was making my work and life difficult. The transition to a lower dose has been tough, but the mental clarity is totally worth it. I'm really hopeful that I'll be able to function the way I want again.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I don't have the brain power to analyse them to be honest! Was just really worried about that certain one being a seizure.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member Do you ever dream though?
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member Yeah me too, I dream of all sorts, but was just wondering if anyone experienced actually dreams of seizures themselves
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member Oh yeah course, I will definitely talk to my GP about it all. Thank you!
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member That does sound a bit confusing, but I think I know what you mean. How do you know the night seizure and the dream of them is different? Just how you feel when you wake up after?
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member That's not good, did you ever wonder if they are seizures? Have you ever asked your doctors about them? Yeah I understand that, that's what dreams are, our thoughts I suppose!

I have night seizures and I have had the same dream but I wake up confused after a seizure but not after the dream if that makes sense if you have gone to sleep thinking about having them sometimes I think dreaming of them is a epilepsy related thing not sure if that helps or not lol
