I had my little ones right after my brain surgery & was on Clobazam. I didn't have to change my meds. or deal with seizures then. If I was to get pregnant now I would have to stop at least one of my meds. & it is the one that works the most. It depends on your medication on how dangerous it can be to you even.

I have two kids but I learned a lot about what not to do with my first pregnancy. Don’t decrease your meds on your own for fear of hurting the baby...let your neurologist do that. I had more seizures because of it and had to be hospitalized. Eat well, exercise, take vitamins and folic acid, etc. My second one I did everything right and worked up until the day she was born. They’re both healthy and happy🙂 Good luck!

I continued to take my meds throughout 2 pregnancies because it was more dangerous not to. Thank goodness it didn't seem to affect the babies. I was taking dilantin.

Just make sure that your Nuerologist works with your baby’s doctor. That the both of them are on the same page. Stay focus and give your baby to the Lord in protecting your baby from being seizure free. I was really blessed that when I had my daughter was born she was seizure free but due to my meds she did have some side effects. But she knows that she loved and we will help her through it all.
