My parents and my partner have obviously explained what happens to me and what I do during a seizure but half of me is curious to see it. I have often thought about asking them to film it when it happens but then the other half of me thinks I might regret it after and be upset by it? Has anyone else ever watched a film of themselves having a seizure and how did you feel afterwards?
I have. I had a one week EEG . Every day they would reduce my meds so much hoping for a good seizure. I was getting Dow to my last couple of days and ,I still haven't had any big seizures. I had some minor ones. So they came to my room to ask if there was anything that would trigger any seizures. I new that I couldn't drink regular pop because it makes me seizures, but anything diet is ok. So I ask for a regular Dr. Pepper . They brought me 2 cans I had finished my first can and was starting on my second. Next thing I new, there were nurses and Dr.s in my room . I finally gave them what they wanted. The day of my departure from the hospital, I had ask if if I could get a recording of my big seizure. A few minutes later they come out with a VHS recordable tape. When I got home I watched. Just watch everything , I thought that's can't be me. It was my body, it was like watching the Exorcist the way my voice sounded and the movements my body was doing.
I seen it once in my youth recorded @ the hospital so my neurologist could see the seizures first hand rather than hearsay. More recently I had an EEG like LizN described. My only difference was the initial "test " they being the know-it-alls that they are, tried to provoke a seizure and couldn't do it but once they asked me my triggers...viola a seizure! Reflecting back on it, stand your ground with ANYBODY trying to correct YOU on your condition.
Yes I have and it caused another seizure
I don't like being in the hospital for days for eeg
eeg in hospital/they saved all the f and gave it to me. Just don't remember much. Every one says I look afraid. I seen it just look out of it.
