My sister and I both have it, but she has had it since she was a child and I was diagnosed at 25. It also runs in my mom's side of the family. Neither my nephews nor my kids have it.

I feel that it is. No one in my family before me ever had seizures but 2 of my 4 kids n myself. Had our 1st seizure at age 21. Hope that my son who just turned 21 n my little girl who only 6 dont have seizures like their brother n sister who r older than them n myself their mother

I always thought it was brought on by a injury or some sort of trauma~

My younger brother and I both have it. He's had it since he was 3 or 4 years old- he's 19years now. I started having seizures when I was 12. As much as are seizures are similar, they're are also differences. I hope I don't pass it down to my children
