Has Anyone Been Diagnosed With Stomach Problems As A Side Effect Of Your Medication? Ii Take Keppra And Lamotrigine
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have been taking keppra and lacosamide for over a year now and have had stomach problems for the last 6 months and have recently been diagnosed with an inflammatory bowel disease. I am seizure free but just wondered whether anyone else had experienced these type of problems?

I know it sounds hard to do but try to eat as naturally possible and also at the same times each day . Same with your meds . Keep a smile on your dial and a little bit of exercise goes a long way .

Try a shot of apple cider vinegar mixed with a shot of water.

I’ve been taking Keppra for years and I recently started to feel acid come up my throat and REEKY breath. I told my neurologist about it and she nudged it off. I’ve been to a dentist, otolaryngologist, and GI doctor but not fixed 😭

My daughter has been on Keppra for 6+ years and she's had her share of stomach problems but thankfully nothing too serious.
