My son is 21. He has a severe seizure disorder which has left him at about age 10-12 also. He knows that adults should have buddies, girlfriends jobs etc. But he can't go out and find these things on his own. My heart breaks for him. In the past I have enrolled him in a program where 4 days a week he would go with friends and do activities with kids at his functioning level. It was going good but we had to move. He is now in a small town and I am working on a 2 day a week program to at least get him out of his room. There should be some sort of government help you can get. Meeting a girl at his level would be good for him. Definitely help his self esteem.
I feel for you. It's really hard to watch your child struggle with the simple things in life.

He has to have constant supervision,will get lost,cant do things for himself like prepare food,he gets very confused.Is 28 so doesnt attend school,and we live in small town so not many social opportunities. I was thinking escort service,but I am also thinking maybe he should not experience what he is wanting

Best advice is going to church is the best place on finding a friend that will more understand your feelings, Thats where I met my wife is at church,who understand my ep, Now Married in 77 have 1 son who is now married with 1 son and 1 daughter that gives us 2 grankids, they are all healthy with no problem, I worked at GM 30 yrs with no problem retired in 08 and sz free 16 yrs now, We also been going to church since married, hope this help, good luck
