This is actually one of the more common reasons that people can have epileptic seizures. I don't know if this will be of much use to you but you could always look on the website www.epilepsy.org.uk website and look up triggers in the search box. This tells us the most common triggers for seizures. They even mention photosensitivity in this but this reason is purely because it is the most well known to people but is only actually affected by three in every 100 epileptics. It is one of the most lowest affected triggers for epileptics. I am trying to get something done about the things that the public and epileptics are aware of as this will help us all a lot more.

I definitely recommend finding the right type of neurologist as well. i can't stress enough the importance of having a doctor that cares about your quality of life as well as your illness. epilepsy really sucks, so you need to have someone you feel comfortable with.

btw, i've had epilepsy for 20 years and eeg's have showed shit for me!

Hi again @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I hope your Epileptologist helps. When I was with a regular neurologist they didn't do much . They may check and do an EEG now and than. But other than that it was try this medication. Or they will , Owe there's a new medication out there and I want to try it out with you. I can't remember how many times I've heard that. Since my Epileptologist they found many other paths to try. Whether it was my brain surgery, VNS implant and ect.

Now I learned from many women talk about their menstrual cycle. When that area act up , so can act up their seizures too.
