I've said it before, and I'll always say it again, Keppra is by FAR the WORST S--T that I've ever taken!!!!!!!! ULTRA RAPID mood swings,Very-Very Forgetful, lose of coordination (People thought I was drunk!) It Didn't work to slow down/stop seizures--even when taken with other meds!!!!!!! When taking Keppra, I would cry one minute, and the next minute I was wanting to beat the S--t out of someone!! When I didn't take it, I was a fairly "normal" person"--still had seizures, but was kinda back to "normal". Don't really remember how much was taken -- 2000? in the Mourning-2000? at Night---I just don't remember. What I do remember is that I would NEVER!!!! ever take it again!!!! Status Epilepticus--I don't wish that on no nobody. Once had thoughts of "Checking Out." Guys, if it works for You, than may God continue to bless You. My last thought about that Sh-- is is for everyone to be careful! May the Force be with You all.

Just found this thread mooching about. Keppra stopped my seizures but made life pretty unbearable with the emotional rollercoaster, and my partners. I’ve just started trial for a new version, Brivaracetam (Brivat), it’s approved but expensive, hence the feasibility trial I’m on. I can say so far, it’s bloomng brilliant, and because it’s basically the same molecular structure, no titration needed. May help some other folks mooching?

Let me just say I don't hear voices soy I cant say if the Keppra quiets them or not. I have taken Depakote until it no longer helped it just stopped working after 7 yrs and seizures began around the Holidays same with the Tegretol. Yes I do have mood swings but they are related more to my depression and not eating when I should because my sleep cycle has been so disrupted lately that I often am not up until late afternoon. I currently am taking Zonagran or its generic form Zonisamide 600 moo gms a Day and Keppra or its generic Lavitracam 3000 mgs a Day and doing very well I have been taking them both for 16 yrs and they are still going strong

I take a large amount of Keppra generic. It doesn't effect My moods.

D@ No Voices and made my EPILEPSY worse.
