Todd Paralysis
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

One of the main issues I have is the abovementioned after effect of a seizure. Its gotten to the point where my left leg and left arm become completely paralysed and it us starting to creep me out. Anyone else suffering from this as well?

I feel that your seizures are accuring in the part of your brain that control your left arm and leg. So every time they hit that portion of your brain , it would make you feel paralyzed.

When my seizures started my left side was numb for months, it has gotten better, still dealing with a lot of other ongoing issues nobody can explain to me. Hope yours gets better

HI Todd..I have something similar to that except it's my right side..the doctors @ one point thought I was having mini strokes, this even happens w/o having seizure activity. My Nero has looked into it & in my case it was the long term use of dilation I was put on by other doctors..it has caused permanent fine motor skills damage & damage to the brain stem, mine now will not get better.it is extremely scary thing to experience & hard to explain to someone who has never had to go through it..sorry if I wasn't much help..stay strong :)
