If he's old enough depending on the kind the kids if he is you know some kids are older at younger ages. Then I would explain to him what to expect and tell him that he can have as many popsicles as he wants. I would use really cool names for the electrodes that are going to be placed on his head my son says that there is a Pokemon called an electro balb so that might be something cool to use because through 3/2 year olds are into Pokemon. And I would bring cards for him and books and his favorite blanket and his favorite snuggly just all the Comforts of home. I remember when I went in for telemetry when I was 16 and I had the house my Bambi with me and it was this big pink and white blanket but I didn't go anywhere without it. I wish you the best of luck I don't know if you're staying with him or if they're going to have a sitter with him cuz you have kids at home but I have Kaiser and Kaiser San Francisco is an awesome Hospital so good luck sister and I hope everything comes out good with your son.

Also Happy when I first had my first seizure after a fire in the woods, our nanny took the rest of the kids to play miniature golf until mom/dad new what happened. So distracting my siblings was a great thing my nanny came up with when I was just 11 yrs old. But I got all the warm blankets I could get I knew my parents were alive. Distraction is key until your son is on the mend.

My VEEG was done at UCSF, some friends brought a narwhal. I always held that narwhal. In the beginning I got Popsicles and ice cream all I wanted even my dad too got them. Lol I was 28 yrs old. Tho I knew they were taking away my drugs by the way I felt. So I needed my family to keep me occupied til I had the BIG one. Tho let it be known my brother being rude stressing me actually did it. Lol stress caused my seizure and I said give me my Ativan and my Meds now... Then I looked at my dad and said oh shoot I sound like a heroin addict when I say it that way, but I really want my AED's back daddy. At 28 yrs old.
