It sounds like your having an aura @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member. Think of it as a warning sign . Alerting you that a seizure may be coming. Next time you start getting that taste, make sure you get yourself in a safe place to reduce the chances of injury.

Yeah I often get metal taste not blood but I sometimes get a catarrh smell too x

Yes I do,it's always the smelling and taste welding galvanized metal.
Auras and smells too many to list .....never blood
