A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Have anyone ever experienced shivers after a seizure. This is the first time my son have had shivers afterwards.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member same! My nails turn purple; my mom seems to freak out (she doesn't realize how normal it is) !

My after effects goes as follows...grogginess; sensation like a truck ran over your body, incoherent and testy when people try and talk to you...like it takes all your left-over strength; then comes the shivers and then sweating as your body can't figure out what to do...all the chemicals in your brain are kaput and if you've banged your head; then family members might want to take note if there are any other effects that you're not aware of...remember...this has mostly been described to me...with the exception of the going to the Emergency if you have lost consciousness...don't wait to act; the brain is a delicate piece of machinery...

I haven't had shivers as part of the seizures, but I have gotten random shivers out of the blue before.
