I've been extremely lucky with pregnancy and have 4 children who are fit and healthy. When i was pregnant i was told to just try and lower the amount of medication i take and I managed to stop taking any medication while pregnant and had no fits at all through all 4 of them but once they were born the fits started again so I think hormones can play a large part of epilepsy aswell. For example do you find you have more fits during time of the month? I do and so my neurologist said to increase my medication for 1 week then back down to normal and I find it really helps. Everyone is different and weather you take medication or not there is always a chance of any baby even from fit healthy women! of having problems, but I always say, never give up.

I was. Almost 6 months pregnant when I lost my son. I was crushed because we wanted to have a family. Today I have a son 39 and a daughter 35...they were both adopted. The only difference is my children did not grow under my heart. They grew in it. Also I have 4 beautiful grandchildren .......

Anyone who is thinking of having children need to talk to there doctor about it as the may take you off your meds for the nine month but even of they do still eat healthy food and drink plenty of water keep off red meat and get iron tabs and, take one a day but see your doctor about it before you try
