Scared Family And Friends
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Have you scared your family and friends by having a seizure? I have, and for me it lead to divorce, loss of friends, and isolation that is also due to lack of independence. How do you cope with that?

I believe it is a lack of understanding. If it were me I would be left isolated and alone and with no one to talk to and bored. An ultimate seizue trigger for me. But as I say I would arrange with my doctor or Epilepsy Foundation to have someone come out. Invite your family and your friends. Let them explain what Epilepsy Awareness. I am sure you are a wonderful person and it hurts me to know someone could do such a thing. Please keep in touch. Hope, Faith and Courage. Be strong. Big hugs and Butterfly kisses

Well, when I visited My Cousin in another state, He didn't realize that I had Epilepsy. I explained to Him what to do if I had a seizure but was nervous about it!

The 2 most that I ever "scared" were My Parents with having Grand Mal seizures. My Mother is passed away and My Father is on the other side of the Country! My Husband and Daughter is Great.....
