Surgery And Shaved Head
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

So I have surgery in June
I know its a stupid thing to worry about because this is something that could make life better
But how much of your head do they shave for surgery

I had the surgery done 2 years ago. They only shave the part where they do the surgary.....it was the right temperal lobe. When my husband saw me he asked the nurse to shave the rest of my head.

The surgeon will just shave hair off but if you speak to anaesthetists they can avoid a lot being shaved off. They plaited my hair so when. Washed it you could see I'd no hair underneath

I ended up buzzing all my hair off beforehand so my hair could grow back even. I think it made it less of a mess for me to deal with, looking back. It was easier and more comfortable to manage with the staples.
