Bruises
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has any body discovered random bruises on them while taking any seizure meds? I get random ones then it knots up then starts itching so bad I end up breaking the skin.
I'm scared that something is wrong.

Keppra didn't work for me and topamax made me delusional. I'm highly allergic to any meds that have triptan in it I go into Anaphylactic shock and epi pen doesn't work. Cuz I have one for my allergery to bees.

I have no problems with bruises anymore but can admit 30 years ago and before then the problem happened alot and yes part of it was thanks to while having a seizure whether at night in bed or while I was awake during the day and had a seizure I often bruised myself but other things can lead to it also which are: Taking extreme high doses of a medication like my doctor at the time in the early 1980's had me taking along with I was allergic to one medication back in the day I was first Diagnosed with Epilepsy in 1960. So yes bruising is not unusual for many people. Plus a side effect of many medications or most medications no matter what they are for is easy bruising.

I do get bruises (one on my profile) which sometimes I don't know how I got them. One thing I thought of that not been said here yet is it could be having seizures in your sleep?
