When I was using the VNS , it didn't have a lot of effect on me. I still had spells when using it. I did hear that they have newer models , it may of improved since I used it. So just because it didn't work well for me , doesn't mean it won't give you results.

I had it recommended to me when I was 16 but was too scared to have it done. I've now had it in me nearly 5 years BEST thing I did. I suffer Drug Resistant Epilepsy so even though I'm still taking 3 different sorts of tablet,still wouldn't be without the VNS. It does have its cons. Like everything in life there's pros and cons.

I had the (Gama Knife, ) done on me , as well as the VNS done on me . All the VNS do is give me an electronic shock in my neck on the nerve. It also bother's my left long.

My Neurologist told me that those VNS systems don't work and that no one should have them. That's what MY Neurologist told me. Maybe some Neurologist might tell You to "go for it." All that I can say is that the surgery really did help me. It might not be what You want--You need--or what You can do, but it did help me some.

I agree with you . It is a piece of shit . I got it put into me about 7 moths ago. The thing don`t work on preventing seizures from happening . . My wife put it over me when I was in a seizure , and nothing happen `d Dealing with Grandma , Pitma , Spook seizures . Been dealing with these Seizures for 35 years .
