Does Anyone Sweat More Often Than Usual As Maybe A Side Effect To Your Medications?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have found that I sweat much more lately. I thought I have always did but I recently noticed that my bed sheets, which are a dark green, have become tinted orange from heavy perspiration at night while I sleep. My levels always seem to be okay, i was just curious if this is a sign to something else that I should be concerned about.

I sweat a lot in bed. It's not consistent or any pattern to it. Some nights I sweat till my clothes are sooking wet. I have no idea I'm sweating that way till my husband touches me and try's to take the sheet off me. I soak the bed so much that I now sleep on a towel. It sucks getting up to dry off and get onto wet sheets. I believe it's from my medication.i think it's the lamictal.

I usually have siezures while I sleep...however I know when I have them because my partner usually wakes and checks on me. I just want to be sure that there isnt something else I should check for due to the color...I suppose sweat is just sweat either way. Thank you for the information.

Heavy sweating in my sleep is usually a sign that I've been fighting a seizure in my sleep. My doctor said its normal just be sure to sleep on your side as much as you can.
