Has anyone else in Indiana had trouble getting SSDI? By law, I'm considered disabled and have been unable to work in the past few years. But the last two times I applied for SSDI I was denied. Was told I have to work more hours to be considered for it. How am I expected to work (especially full-time) if doctors already consider me disabled?
Another thing you may want to do is get a lot documents from your doctors and that know of your situation and try and get notes from your Dr. Or Dr.'s , whether or not you can work. But get as many documentations on your Epilepsy , as possible.
Thirteen months is quick considering how long it took me just to get SSI. Been told I have to work full time (which I can't) for a certain number of years to get disability. Think that's ridiculous considering I've already been titled disabled by the court.
Yes you can go and apply for SSI
I have that, but am barely getting by even with heating/cooling assistance. Was denied help with rent through local program called Action due to auto-withdraw when it comes to paying bills (electric, tv, etc.). Found that rather stupid. Can't get a job because if I do SSI will go down and I won't be able to afford rent and other bills. My main question is how can a child get disability, but an adult who's unable to work get denied in this state?
Even if u haven't worked a certain number of years?
