What Type Of Seizures Does The Vns Implant Helpful For?

You can say good-bye to grand mal and petit mal seizures. I was one of the first 1,500 in the world to get a VNS 25 years ago. I love it!!! I went from having one or two days per month with 4 extremely violent grand mal seizures to only having 3 to 4 simple partial/auras per year immediately.

I think it varies with everyone. Ive known some it has not helped at all. Others like myself, vns was a blessing.

every person is different with this device, I had a severity of complex partials and ran it out to the limit at the time. Because of the previous brain surgery in 1995 a Deep Brain Stimulator was added as of 2011 and I am doing just fine.

I have petit mal and the Vns works fantastic along with my meds.

When I had the VNS , I too had trouble with keeping my voice. But, I stopped feeling that and my voice came back.
