Do Any Of You Have Events From Your More Distant Past Completely Missing From Your Memory? .
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Since having my first several seizures a I've realized that there are gaps in my memory of single events going back maybe 15 years. I'm very sad when my husband or friends are talking about an event from the past and then ask me if I remember: when we went there... what we did ... etc. Sometimes I recall SOME of the event after discussing and getting a few details about it.

There are also events from the same time span that I DO recall
In my research I (finally) discovered a type of… read more

Abuse Of Site
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi, this forum is very important and helpful for those suffering and needing advice. Recently I have noticed people abusing the forum and treating it as a dating site - giving out private email addresses and phone numbers to those that are vulnerable. Please don't abuse the site in this way (I'm not mentioning names but you know who you are).Thank you.

Do You Still Have Your License?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Something some said got to me. Not all forms of epilepsy make tou loose consciensness. I am always alart and and aware of several of my triggers. My sezuires are either absent, mind staring or simple/conplex jerks (like a cold chill).

I have complex partial seizures. My neurologist and I have talked about my license as I have brought it up. He sees no reason to revoke my license and my diagnosis does not require them to be.

Anyone else still have their license?

Leslie, you should talk to a pharmacist who you trust to ask that question. (and try to get list of options -- not just the one of your pharmacy chain that your pharmacy is part of)

Anyone Notice Any Food Triggers (allergy Or Non-allergy)?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Knowing what triggers are really help with coping with epilepsy. Surely I avoid them best I can... but think I'm still musing a lot of them.

What are some of yours?

I know persevatives, additives, excess caffeine and heavily vibegared food are the biggest for me.

I do have a citrus intolerance (mainly with lemon) that makes me dizzy and very sleepy.

Eggs seem to bother me but not allergic.

Foods with high fat like hamburger (restaurants never seem to bother me, guessing cause they… read more
