Medicine Reminder?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I take Levetiracetam and tomapax in the morning and at 6pm. I have my alarm is set for both times but sometimes I don't here the one in the morning or I take it and I'll forget that I did rather it's in the morning or afternoon. What I am asking is how do you keep track or what are you using to make sure you didn't forget?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member

I had Blood Drawn the other day. I was supposed to not take my medication until that happened. Now the Pharmacy sets them up. I put the AM meds in a bag and could do that.

Has Anyone Had Embarrassing Things Happen When They Had A Seizure?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone been either at home or in public and had a seizure that was embarrassing?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member

Dana, they were probably partial seizures. These were labeled "Johnny being Johnny" because I had a whole variety of them back then even before developing the ones where my subconscious could speak… read more

Does Anyone Else Experience Depression With Epilepsy?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

This is my first time posting on a site about my epilepsy, but I feel like I just need to vent to people like me. A little about me: I live in a small town in VA with my mom, dad, and fiancé. I'm turning 25 in a week and I had my first seizure at 17 the morning after my grad party. It was a gran mal and my life just hasn't been the same since. I currently take 350mg Lamictal XR at night before I go to sleep. Some nights I wake up and have bad tremors still. Growing up I was always the funny… read more

Prolonged Aura With Seizure Cluster
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone had a prolonged aura and you try to "fight off" your seizure because you know its coming? I was at the grocery stote today and i didnt want to fall down and make a big scene so i tried to calmly go to the register and kind of leaned on my boyfriend and seized in line because i couldnt fight it anymore.. it didnt last that long but i was still out of it until we went to the car and i had the rest of the seizure in the cluster
Does anyone else try to fight the seizure thats coming?… read more

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member

I can usually fight off my seizures by taking a nap. I have to be seriously distracted or out of it.

Who Would Be Willing To Be Part Of A ZOOM Meeting(s) To Have Real Time Discussions Among Friends To Get To Know Each Other Better?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Obviously, the fact that we have friends on here in just about all, if not all, of the time zones on the planet, thus it would have to be smaller gatherings by region to start. After all, it is around 1:30 pm EST here in MA right now, but it is 6:30pm in London and Tuesday 5:30am in Sydney.

It would be helpful in getting to know friends that we cannot meet with locally if we could use ZOOM to meet with at least some of them.

What do you think? Are you interested?

A MyEpilepsyTeam Member

The best idea is if there is someone who has the tech skills in each time zone to try to get some going using ZOOM (45 minute free meetings) or Skype (much longer free meetings but a less known site)… read more
