I have epilepsy and have problems with walking after having so many seizures so there is already damage. (Crutches/walker) but I don't know the specific time and was curious.
That’s possible @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member . But after Rereading the question . She was specifying about Seizures and cluster seizures.. the time it takes to damage the brain more.
5 minutes plus is when it gets dangerous causing more damage to the brain . The brain starts losing oxygen when reach the 5minute mark. That can also cause more damage too.
If your Cluster seizures or any big a seizure should be ok if it below the 5 minute mark too. You brain is getting a chance to recover in between the multiple seizures.
That's was very helpful! Thank you
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I think the question is more about how long it takes for damage to happen after a TC or how long it can take for damage to form over time before you are diagnosed with epilepsy. These are almost impossible to answer.
We already have a form of brain damage, when living with Epilepsy
You would have to ask your Neurologist that question.
