Over the years I've had different types. Petite Mal, drop seizures now clonic tonic.

Recovery time can vary but been known to pretty much sleep for a week.

Focal onset Impaired awareness seizures ( AKA Complex Partial Seizures )
Absence Seizures ( AKA Peti Mal seizures)
They last between 20 to 60 seconds.

Blackout seizures last a micro second to 2 seconds.

I had partial-complex seizures that last about 30 seconds. Currently they are under control, but when I did experience them I had an aura just beforehand that felt like a severe gas pain. It was troublesome because I never knew if it would go away or if I would have a seizure. I started having seizures again when I went through menopause and it took about 4 years to find the right medication to control them. Keep a diary or calendar of when you have seizures and see if there is a pattern. Share it with your doctor so he/ she can try different medications.

I was lucky enough to run into a person who had temporal lobe seizures like I did who told me her seizures were controlled with Lamotrigine and Keppra. I told that to my doctor and asked her to prescribe those medications for me and it worked. They are now under control again.

It's been my experience you have to take control of your health and educate your doctors on what works, what does not work, and the side effects. I've had several doctors who didn't have much experience with epilepsy and didn't know what to do.

Mine are very different it last 1 hour and it hurt my body my back hurt there are not same surzuies am get older each day get scare but am try be positive right am hurt I fall yesterday body hurt sored . Am just relaxing myself .
