I guess I'm supposed to get one to test my brain...
I had one about 35 years ago. I wanted to start seeing an epileptologist. He set me up for an MRI and told me there was a white matter around the brain. He said it could be MS and the only way to make sure it wasn't was a spinal tap. I had it and learned it wasn't MS. Good, because epilepsy is enough to worry about. π
Ah...They are maybe searching to make sure you don't have any viral/bacterial or other meningitis or a reason that could cause them. I've had Hepatic Encephalitis (twice) and yeah, they tapped my spinal fluid!
I've had them before. What do you want to know? They are a bit uncomfortable, and sometimes you get a weird kind of headache (if you move to much afterwards) but overall, it is not to big a deal. You gotta roll into a ball and it is over pretty quick.
Yeah, I had one decades ago, and as I recall it was slightly painful, but didnβt take long. I wish you good luck, and donβt worry !
