Between 2005 and 2010 I had my VNS . I never replaced the stimulator when it died. I didn’t have any luck with it, controlling my seizures my seizures amount didn’t reduce.. My Dr agreed to not continue with it ..

Now just because it didn’t work well for me , doesn’t mean it wont work well for you.

Yes. I received my implant on February 2, 2023. My doctor told me it will take over a year to see if it aids me. I am a very talkative person I will tell you what I went through from start.

My son has had one for over 10 years. It was hard to tell if it was helping because he has LGS and his seizures are so complex, however, lately it has been helping when he has auras.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member yes. I know it did but it is all a training and learning process. I hadn't thought about it in a long time but I can remember some about the magnet at the beginning but now it's just always there. I asked my mom earlier and she agrees that it did help with my seizures.
