Have you had a seizure
It's difficult. It changes your life forever. It changes the lives of the people around you forever. It makes stress potentially fatal (it can cause a seizure.) For people with photosensitive epilepsy, you have to be very careful about where you look and what you see. The lights from construction vehicles, tow trucks, police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances. Fluorescent lights (found in basically every store and government building.) All a potential risk or at least a guaranteed migraine. That's the tip of the iceberg too.
Having a seizure has all kinds of consequences too. I've fallen face first into the corner of a desk and two tables because I had a seizure. My face has taken quite a beating over the years because of seizures. Busted my head open once too. Of course since I was a teen at the time, I thought "It's just like in the movies!" and took a picture of it, lol. Banged my fingers up pretty good once too (it left a scar.) Then, of course, there's the scarring in my mouth from the seizures. Bit myself real hard a lot over the years during my seizures.
The symptoms and the side affects can be immensely inconvenient and disorienting. It can easily put your whole day on hold. And I haven't even went into how it affects your family, career, and social life.

Welcome to the group. Living with epilepsy had been depressing for me. I haven’t been able to do a lot of things since I’ve had seizures since I was 10 years old.
