Do Any Of You Have Seizures Occurring In The Insular Cortex Or Parietal Operculum?

So after my two attempts at brain surgery have not made me seizure free even with medication, my doctor suspects that my epilepsy is occurring in the insular cortex and or parental operculum. Unfortunately, it seems like it's not a much studied form of epilepsy and may actually be not that common. For those that have it, I'm just wondering how you moved forward with managing it? My neurologist believes I have both although they cannot see it on MRI. I was told brain surgery would never be an option and that it would have to be VNS if I was to have any surgery.
