Has Anyone Ever Have Surgery To Remove Scar Tissue That Causes Seizures In Temporal Lobe?

Had surgery to remove scarred tissue from the left temporal lobe in April 1987. Last seizure was the day before they operated. Have been totally off medicine since December 1992.

I had surgery in 2011. My surgeon did not remove all the scar tissue, he missed tiny bit of it.. So I still have aura seizures. Not totally seizure free. Glad that you been seizure free.

George, I was tested to see if I was a candidate for that surgery but it turned out that because I had two TBI's that I wasn't (I have two areas of scar tissue that cause my seizure activity). Instead, my medication was just changed and my VNS power was changed, as well.

I hade brain surgery done on my left Temporal Lobe. It helped reduce the frequency of my seizures., from severe to mild and moderate seizures.
