Does Anybody Have More Seizure When Your Out In The Humidity?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Many of the flowers Mom planted here are so beautiful but I just can’t get out and take care of them like they need.

It amazes me that some of these flowers are still coming up after their place in the yard gets mowed over and I don’t get out to pull weeds like I should.

I went out to get the mail today because it’s such a nice day I wanted to take a walk.

It was a very short walk because right away I started feeling an aura coming on as soon as I got to the mailbox. After that I went right… read more

I have numerous pets and I can’t leave them as they don’t understand. But when I was a lot younger I did a lot so I was blessed as I am today. Every night since the seizures started I have very vivid dream. I have asked this question if anyone has very vivid dreams and most do. I asked The neurologist if he thought it was the medication for the seizures that caused this. He told me could be the seizures. Every time I have a grand mal is like I have passed away and this life comes back to me a little bit at a time, leaving some behind. My dreams are like Im living two lives. May Gods light shine on you.

Yes! It's the main reason I'm in Colorado where there is no humidity. When I first came vack to the States, I landed at Lambert International Airport in St. Louis in July coming from the Arctic Circle. I was hospitalized from seizures within hours of stepping off that plane. The shock of the heat and humidity to my internal body temperature threw me into seizures, according to the doctors. It was suggested I move to an area with little to no humidity by my neurologist.

@Rust

Yes, at least as much as I can. That helps a lot.

Just seems like the best thing for me is to stay out of the heat and also to not over exert myself.

Are you keeping yourself hydrated during the day?

I have a friend from childhood that lives in Vegas. I finally got to go and visit his a couple of years ago.

The temp was higher out there but since it’s very dry, we were able to get out and do some sight seeing.

When he visited the mid-west he thought he was going to totally melt away.

I should note that I didn’t have any seizures while I was there but my seizures are not completely controlled with the medication I’m on.

The lower humidity helped but it was nice to finally get away from my daily stresses from home too. 😀
