What Do You Do To Get The EEG Glue Out Of Your Hair?
I’m getting another EEG on Thursday and it’s funny that I’ve had these so many times yet I still haven’t found the perfect way to get the glue out. If you have any ways that you think work pretty well with getting it out please let me know!!
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I’ve read on a lot of sites now that the new recommendation is not to use Acetone but to use coconut oil. The Acetone can be dangerous to use and tbh it did nothing when I tried it.

I accidentally turned off the camera when I was asleep one day in January. They did find 5-8 second events while sleeping. They told me to only be away from the camera for 20 minutes. I was supposed to keep a diary, too. Unfortunately my need to urinate has something to do with my seizures, probably stress. I am trying to deal with side effects, but better that than not take meds and have seizures.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member it depends on weather it is a video one or not. If it is a video they would normally allow a time limit of about 1hr per day. I remember when I did mine I was very strict about it the first two days then the last day I got lasy and I was away from the camera alot. But they still picked up seizures.
Alexandra,
I think having one at home is difficult, and possibly wrong. In January I could only stay in my room and not be away from the Camera for 20 minutes. That is not a "normal" life, but neither are ones in a bed in a hospital. If I went to lunch, got my mail etc. it would be more realistic.
An ignorant person told me to wear a head covering to not disturb others. I do not know if doing so would mess the EEG, but would not do so.
