I am wondering if anybody has noticed their seizures getting worse or happening more or more intense with methadone? I'm on it for pain because I have a bad back and I have neuropathy and a bad knee. My husband googled methadone and it says people with epilepsy should not be taking it and that it could cause seizures. I take a low dose I take 5 mg three times a day I also take meloxicam which is mobic one time a day and flexeril three times a day.
I have God's grace and the ocean and beach plus Bob Marley today is the second anniversary of my wife's passing away I'm sitting on the beach looking at the ocean listening to Jimmy Buffett drinking her favorite drink a hurricane with a friend that I've known since fifth grade. I am not sure if that is appropriate to say but it's the truth.
Oh Sean! What an ordeal you have experienced! I hope this finds you slowly but surely mending your body.
Who do you have in your life that can offer the emotional support you need as you heal?
I recently had a seizure in the shower broke my back and fractured my skull they are very limited on pain meds due to my epilepsy I've had three back surgeries and one more on the way I live in pain. I'm getting the feeling they don't care
According to Mayo Clinic seizures are only likely with an overdose of Methadone. Additionally I have never seen so many drug interaction warnings!
Talk to your neurologist
It depends on what else you may be taking with your seizure meds. There might be a conflict.
