I been noticing that when I wake up sometimes I have no energy at all. Body hard to move and more. Like I can sleep my day way foreal. I don't like it.
DavidAlexander’s answer covers all the reasons I can think of: less and/or poor sleep, medication side effects (which includes almost all seizure meds), not getting enough of certain vitamins (we should definitely take calcium and vitamin D, because the anti-seizure meds cause bone loss). And the epilepsy itself can make us exhausted! I find it hard to move sometimes as well, and my motivation is the pits. So you’re not alone in this. And there’s no one-solution-fits-all. We are all different.
I hope it gets better for you. You can try the more vitamins (including a calcium, and vitamins D and C) and see if they help. I wish you all the best!! Take care, and I hope you stay seizure free this weekend and the immediate future… K
Do you by any chance seizure during your sleep ( Nocturnal Seizures ) ? Nocturnal seizures can make you exhausted especially if they are strong one or many cluster seizures during sleep.
Another possibility is the side effects of your medication(s)
I barely have any energy most of the time. But I push myself all the time to do all that I do.
Am always like that and I take vitamins for it mostly a B complex regime and zinc and iron and vitamin D and a multivitamin. It's because I have nocturnal seizures in my sleep every night so I don't get enough sleep or quality sleep and pretty much my 3 medications take all the energy and motivation out of me and make me fatigued easily. I'll take a nap in the afternoon and I can still sleep all day and night because my medications also decrease my appetite and what I can still eat my medications absorb a lot of the protein and minerals in my meals. I workout and have a struck daytime and nighttime schedule and even that doesn't work for my sleeping problems.
Me! Always tired and I feel like I’m just lazy 😢
