Toronto, CA

Hello. My son developed viral encephalitis 5 months ago. He was initially have several seizures a day in hospital. Now he has a partial complex seizures with loss of awareness from once a week to once a month. He has a brief aura so can call out for help. If we don’t give him rescue meds it lasts longer than 5 minutes and he turns blue. He’s on Keppra and oxcarbazepine. Any one else need rescue meds each time. So scared for his safety

I use Rescue meds only as need. My reason isn’t so severe as your son. I have cluster seizures once in awhile. So I my Dr. Prescribed me on Lorazepam to stop the cluster seizures.
