Aging With Seizures: What Affects/not Affect Seizure Activity? Hrt, Bhrt, Natural Supps, Laser Or RF Skincare? Thx!
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I feel like I’m falling apart! My skin, hair and muscle tone are changing and my energy levels are too. Any info on how to approach management of care (external and internal) without affecting seizures? I eat clean and exercise, but I’m suddenly feeling at a loss here. Any info or personal experiences are welcomed. Trying to be as great as I can while I can. Thx!

I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve had seizures for 31 years and haven’t noticed any of those symptoms. I pray you get better.

I know my symptoms and side effects have all been affected by menopause and aging. I seem to remember there’s a section on aging with epilepsy as a woman in the resources section here. I hope that helps you… (you’re not the only one!)

My looks have long surpassed me. I'm not pretty anymore, I lost my figure, my skin used to be flawless without make-up. I praise God to still be alive but sometimes I wonder if my purpose was to not be a pretty girl and live another purposeful life but I miss being pretty.
