I've Been Told By My Friend And Past Care Assistant I'm To Emotional. Do Other Guys Get This? Or Anyone Else For That Matter?

She tells me I am the most emotional man she has ever known. But I attribute it to my condition. I don't recall being like this until six years ago.

For everyone that has written something here there are different kinds of emotions, some of them can do more harm than good. Ex depression is an emotional feeling that affects a number of other people. That is not a pleasant emotion so what do people do, they go talk to a therapist, and or psychiatrist. A psychiatrist is the kind of Dr. that can give a person medication πŸ’Š to help end depression. My understanding is depression happens when the chemicals in a person’s brain 🧠 is not working properly together. That is the reason for meditation, to return them to work correctly again. That is my understanding. A neurologist will notice that. Medication is always a factor, a side effect of a medication may be a problem. If You have a question ask Your Dr. that is part of their job. It does not matter if You think the question is stupid a Dr. will no. Be careful when you take Your medication. Good luck everyone in the future!

I'm irritated that a care assistant actually said that to you...was that supposed to "encourage" you. Different people get more emotional than others...I'm the opposite, I barely show much emotion. That's just how I am. So, I'm going to assume that "that's just how you are" ;)

Emotions are part of our humanity. They are not something you should "bottle up" or try to control. Sometimes the ACTIONS that come from emotions need to be regulated. Because there are ways our actions can negatively impact others or ourselves we need to have emotional maturity/intelligence. WHAT you feel is not appropriate to measure. Emotions aren't "too much" or "bad" simply because you feel them intensely. A lack of emotion can often cause more harm than good
Emotions are motivating, they help you desire and seek relationships and social skills, bring self awareness, enable you to feel empathy, sympathy and love.
FEEL them, don't suppress them but be aware of how they impact your behavior and your health too.

The question is , are your emotions related to meditation side effects. There are some meds that can change our emotions and behaviors from side effects.

Then again our seizures can do similar

That so annoys me when people say that! If they dont have Epilepsy they don't have the right to make those assumptions as they have no idea what we go through.

I would have a conversation to these people about it & if they still can't handle it or disagree then don't have them in your life because they aren't who you need in your life!

Only have supportive and loving people around you! YOU are no1 priority our health, and mental health comes first and never feel embarrassed about being sad or sensitive or whatever it is.

I'm crying everyday, anxiety attacks aswell everyday I think I'm even depressed atm. I'm doing my best but it's exhausting I understand exactly we're your coming from! I have a big journal I write in it gets my crap out and no1 reads it but me that may help do it everyday or sit & cry if needed I do, it releases alot of things out of our body & mind that's suck there.

Fair play to you to be a sensitive person there's nothing wrong with that at all, it shows what kind of person you are!!!!

Love yourself and never let any1 make you feel small or bad about who you are, don't have them in your life it will make a big difference!

My bestfriend of 20yrs last year because l became ill hospital and I couldn't go on hols afterwards with her she completely straight away ghosted me because of it & hasn't talked to me since I am still goin through that loss I can't believe she did that so much for a supportive trustworthy bestfriend/person.

Look after yourself first & don't let people say or do things to you that make you feel that there is anything wrong with you because there isn't nip it in the bud straight away if it comes up again xoxo
