Just Wondering If Anyone Is Taking Dilantin And Has Experienced Chest Pain, Possibly Anxiety Or Panic Attacks ?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Ever since I started Dilantin in November 2022 I have been experiencing chest pain and panic attacks especially when I use my Medical Marijuana. I am now experiencing an increase in my PTSD due to not being able to smoke. Please help.

Thanks. I appreciate it. But tbh my doctor's don't help me. I tell them side effects of medications and it's like they don't even hear me. Or don't believe me! But I appreciate your response. 😇😎

The chest pain I don't know too much about what I do know is one of the main side effects of seizure medications is anxiety , drowsiness , emotional mood swings
( mainly anger and sadness )and dizziness. Most of these come to you no matter what medication you are on.

i have 2 med i have to take cause i got use to it and now relient on it. mind you this all happen in my early 20s and the 2 meds i took/take for about 5 years (at that point). those 2 med did work for a bit... but all of a sudden didn't work and drs took me off and it made it even worst. i am now 36. what's the funny part is, those 2 meds are the lowest you can go.
anyway... this is my story. you maybe fine but likely you maybe got used to the meds and have to take it all of your life.

I have taken meds for epilepsy for around 30 yrs but have to change a lot I'm med resistant but have been told I can become dependent on them. I haven't as of yet though. Not sure if that helps any.
